We encourage all musicians, producers, and audio engineers who identify as women and gender-expansive to apply. No previous engineering or studio experience is required. Working in music full-time is not required, but we are prioritizing folks who have music as a centering force in their creative lives. This workshop is not intended for hobbyists.

This workshop will be hosted at Great North Sound Society in Parsonsfield, ME on July 30th-31st 2024.

Thanks to the generosity of Club Passim’s The Iguana Music Fund, this is a free workshop. Housing and food will be provided, and is also free. However, we do not cover the cost of travel. (Though there will be rideshare coordination ahead of the workshop, and a shuttle coming from Boston, MA and Portland, ME.)

We are prioritizing women and gender expansive people for this workshop, in an effort to level the gender inequity that exists in the world of professional audio. If you identify as a woman or as under the broad umbrella of gender expansive, please apply!

There is no due date, however spots are extremely limited. We have less than 10 spots available and will be giving those spots on a first come, first serve basis. Apply as soon as you can!

Due to the physical limitations of the recording studio space we use, we only have the capacity for about 10 applicants to participate during the intensive. It’s first come first serve at this time.

This event is meant to be a resource for people looking to expand their technical capabilities within the studio to use within their professional life. You certainly do not have to be a full-time professional musician, but it is encouraged.

6-7pm Dinner
7-9PM Q+A with GNSS house engineer
